Mongolian jewelry is extremely well-crafted. The large valuable corals in this piece have been treasured since the time of Marco Polo when coral was highly sought after in all of Central Asia. This silver and coral piece with a side clasp dates to circa 1890. The coral is a salmon color, favored by the Mongols.
