Coyotes Paw

An outstanding and superbly crafted applique thangka of Hayagriva or Tamdin. There was a great production of Buddhist art in Mongolia from the mid 19th century until the early 20th century. Workshops in the capital, Urga, were noted for the making of applique thangkas. This one dates to the late 19th century.
