Coyotes Paw

This is a very unusual Tuareg magic square ring that is worn as an amulet. The Tuareg, originally camel nomads, are found primarily in Mali and Niger, West Africa. The making of magic squares as a form of protection is a very ancient practice that can be found in Islamic, Christian and Jewish traditions.
