Philippines - Ifugao Necklace
	The Ifugao tribe in the Philippines is noted for shell jewelry. Very elegant, finely worked golden oyster shell necklaces such as this were worn by both sexes. Sadly, most of this finery is no longer made and rarely worn as western dress overwhelms tribal customs. This example has an inscription - possibly a name or a town - inscribed on one of the shell sections.
