Niger - Tuareg Necklaces
	Tuareg jewelry is very refined and elegant, mostly silver and dark beads. Carnelian elements have been prized for centuries; the examples here contain Brazilian agate cut in Germany and then sold in Arabia and North Africa. Much Tuareg jewelry made recently is very good sterling, as these examples. Tuareg jewelry is often inscribed with the name of the silversmith or the person who commissioned it.
