Indonesia - Balinese Dance Headdress
	Balinese dance dramas, performed as offerings to gods in Hindu temples, are truly extraordinary. Local farm and town people train and perform at levels of professional excellence that would astonish seasoned ballet dancers. Costumes for the dance are especially extravagant. This headdress is made of buffalo parchment, colored glass, mirrors and real gold leaf. These headdresses are meticulously made in the town of Sukawati, the same place where the parchment shadow puppets are made.
